This website has been produced and is supported, as part of the Community Pharmacy Forward View (CPFV) project, by PSNC and Pharmacy Voice, whose founding members are the Association of Independent Multiple Pharmacies, the Company Chemists’ Association and the National Pharmacy Association. The CPFV has the support of the English Board of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. We are all committed to developing the community pharmacy service to enable pharmacies to offer a wider range of high quality services for the benefit of patients and the NHS.
The three largest community pharmacy associations formed Pharmacy Voice in 2010 to create a stronger, unified voice for their independent and multiple members. The members of Pharmacy Voice are the Association of Independent Multiple Pharmacies (AIMp), the Company Chemists’ Association (CCA) and the National Pharmacy Association (NPA).
Pharmacy Voice’s role includes:
- Thought leadership and positioning on key strategic and policy issues affecting the community pharmacy sector.
- Engaging with Government policy, legislation and regulation, ensuring the views and priorities of community pharmacy owners are effectively represented.
- Providing a single voice for our members in the media, at events and through awareness-raising campaigns.
PSNC promotes and supports the interests of all NHS community pharmacies in England and is recognised by the Secretary of State for Health as the body that represents NHS pharmacy contractors. PSNC works closely with Local Pharmaceutical Committees to support their role as the local NHS representative organisations.
PSNC’s goal is to develop the NHS community pharmacy service, and to enable community pharmacies to offer an increased range of high quality and fully funded services; services that meet the needs of local communities, provide good value for the NHS and deliver excellent health outcomes for patients.
The RPS is the professional membership body for pharmacists and pharmacy in Great Britain and an internationally renowned publisher of medicines information.
RPS advances the profession of pharmacy for public and patient benefit, to improve the health of the public and to secure the future of its members.
